Challenge:
After making a breakthrough in the field of radioprotective products, Energy Dynamics was ready to break into the marketplace. The start-up company had a revolutionary technology on its hands but no brand identity or marketing materials. Before it could hit the ground running, Energy Dynamics needed to establish a strong brand identity that appealed to both investors and the scientific community. And because it was reaching out to a variety of audiences, it also needed a Web site and collateral materials that accurately described its complex technology in laymen’s terms.
Solution:
LFS started out by developing a highly distinctive logo that captured the spirit of Energy Dynamics. We worked closely with the company on its message development, creating language that would be easily understood by a general audience but that still appealed to the scientific community. From there, LFS developed a variety of marketing materials that showcased Energy Dynamics’ technology and its new brand, including a Web site, investor data sheets, stationery and business cards. We also created a style guide that Energy Dynamics could use internally to shape its future graphics and messaging.
Result:
The strategy and dynamic creative LFS developed helped Energy Dynamics build a recognizable brand as a leader in the field of radioprotective products. It also postured Energy Dynamics as a trusted, valuable entity and helped generate significant interest in the company. Energy Dynamics’ Web site received more than 15,000 hits within a week of going live. The company also had investors standing in line and is now fully funded by such well-known names as Georgia Pacific and BellSouth Telecomm. As Energy Dynamics continues to warrant a significant stronghold in this industry, it will look to LFS to fulfill additional marketing communications needs.
