Fairfax County Wastewater Management
Challenge:
Fairfax County’s established facility needed its own logo to convey its importance to the quality of life in the county. The new look had to be modern, fresh and friendly so it could be used in community outreach as well as internally. The biggest challenge was to take a unpleasant, but necessary, subject and make it interesting.
Solution:
LeapFrog Solutions (LFS) crafted a distinctive logo that conveyed the Wastewater Management process, and provided a creative brief that explained the meaning of the logo and its relevance to both internal and external audiences. This approach helped them to garner buy-in from administrators and employees. The logo was applied to signage, tee shirts, and trucks, in addition to their Web site. LFS also rebranded Wastewater Management’s annual reports and brochures, incorporating images from photo shoots of all facilities, events, and personnel.
Result:
Fairfax County’s Wastewater Management program received a fresh, “corporate” look for its branding materials. They generated awareness of their brand not only internally and externally, and within the county, but across the country as well.
The campaign won a national award for marketing design excellence. This recognition increased employee’s pride in the program as well as the county’s reputation. LFS continues to support Fairfax County Wastewater Management’s communications needs in all print and interactive mediums including: web design, brochures, bill stuffers, annual reports, and more.
